The New York Daily News reports more details from Sports Illustrated writer Selena Roberts’ book “A-Rod” were released Wednesday, April 29, and the book alleges New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez didn’t stop using steroids when he came to the Yankees. Roberts writes Yankees teammates nicknamed Rodriguez “B—h T–s” in 2005 because he put on 15 pounds in the offseason, which included round pectorals, a condition called gynecomastia that can be caused by anabolic steroids. Roberts also writes that A-Rod could have been using steroids since as far back as high school. Roberts also suggested that A-Rod tipped pitches for opponents when he was with the Texas Rangers and expected players to do the same when he was slumping.
News: Miami SG Dwyane Wade (back) looked extremely hobbled on Wednesday in Game 5 against Atlanta. Wade still managed to play 39 minutes, despite hitting the deck a few times during the game including writing at half court for several minutes at one point, and scored a game-high 29 points. He shot 9-of-19 and added four rebounds and four assists.

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade left Game 5 against the Hawks after hitting his head on the court during the first quarter Wednesday night. Wade collided with Atlanta’s Josh Smith going for a loose ball, which appeared rather harmless until the NBA’s leading scorer banged the back of his head on the court.
