Red Sox SP Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched 52/3 innings on Thursday night, allowing four runs off six hits in a 6-4 win over the Orioles. The right-hander made through the first five innings scoreless before running into trouble in the sixth. In that frame, Matsuzaka gave up four runs off four hits before being pulled for Scott Atchison with two outs. Matsuzaka, who had his last start skipped because of a back issue, struck out six and walked one while earning his ninth win of the year.
